Get to Know David M. Fisher, Jr, DDS
Dr. Fisher has been caring for patients right here in this office for well over 20 years now – first as an associate, then as a partner, and finally, as the owner! Today, what he enjoys most about his job is being able to not only improve someone’s oral health and overall wellness but also increase their confidence by revitalizing their smile’s appearance. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Fisher originally became interested in the oral healthcare field through talking with his orthodontist during his high school years. During the course of his orthodontic treatment he felt his self confidence improve and realized that he would like to peruse a career giving others the same experience.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Fisher attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for both his undergraduate degree and his dental doctorate. By doing rotations in oral surgery and special care/geriatric dentistry during undergrad, he was able to gain valuable experience in specialty fields that have served him well throughout his career. He also enjoys keeping up with the latest dental treatment techniques and technologies through Continuing Education courses.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Fisher and his wife, Liz, have been married since 1994, and they have three children together named Katherine, David III, and Sam. When he isn’t busy at work, his favorite hobbies include playing bass guitar in the worship band at Westover Church, hiking, camping, backpacking, building guitar effects pedals, pickleball, and dabbling in some disc golf. He’s also a proud Eagle Scout!
